Wheel shakes when I break

So this summer I bought my first Mazda 3 and I love it. Not very smart when it comes to cars but trying to learn. When I break the stearing wheel shakes, any ideas? Thanks for your wisdom fellas.

Exactly what I was about to say. +1 on that, get new ones or have current ones machined. It's probably more cost efficient and overall efficient to just get new ones.

How many miles since your last brake job?

Thanks

I am unsure of the last break job. I would guess quite some time. It is an 05 so maybe never. Thanks for the insight.

If you're gonna put on new rotors, you should probably replace the pads at the same time. Just a thought ..

yea I figured I would change the pads too. It is too bad they didn't take better care of such a great car. One wheel is bent a little so they might be related. Thanks fellas.

I'd say it's the bent wheel before assuming it's your brakes. If you still have a lot of pad left, don't bother with the brake job just yet. Use up your current pads, and when it's time for new ones just throw on new rotors as well. You should really just replace both every time you do your brakes anyway, so when it's time that should give you a good idea if it was the rotors or the bent wheel. I'm willing to bet it's the wheel though.
