I don't know where you can buy it in the US (call Toucan @ 1-800-971-2226 and ask them) but be warned:

If you want to install it on a sedan AND you have cruise control, you will either have to chop up the cruise control bracket or buy a handfull of parts (~$70 worth) at the Mazda dealer to make it fit.

You know what's funny? You can buy the complete MP3 strut bar kit (0000-88-08_-KT) for a sedan for $99-$135USD in the USA. You CANNOT buy the same kit in Canada, even though they know the part number and even have a price of $135CDN*. Buying just the steel bar that goes between the two brackets is $217CDN ALONE.

Wait, did I say funny? I meant fucked.

* Yes, that's right. Dealer parts prices in Canada and the USA are the same dollarwise. Those in the US would be wise to buy their parts up here...

I hate to be such a downer on this, but it seems that NO strut bar for the Protege sedans fits properly if you have cruise control...

Corksport sells some that note "needs modification" (yep, they mean the CC bracket).

Your best bet is to buy the MP3 strut bar kit for $99.95 from Mazdastuff

MP3 Strut bar

Will the MP3 strut bar fit in a 2003 ES?

I do have cruise control, but the one from Mazdastuff comes with the bracket. For the price, it's not a bad deal.

Quoted directly from the Protege FAQ...

I own a 3rd generation Protegé and would like to get the MP3's tower bar.
What do I need to get?

Mazda USA has released the MP3 tower bar kit which includes all the required parts.
For cars with cruise control, the part number is: 0000-88-C07_-KT and for cars
without cruise control, it is 0000-88-C08-_KT. Both kits should cost $165.

If you live in a country that does not yet have the kits available, you may get the parts
separately (which will cost you more). Additional parts you need are sourced from the
removed stock parts.
Part numbers and dealer prices as follows:
Bar (yellow): BN7H-56-49X, $175.70
Right bracket (cruise control compatible): BN5V-56-5CX, $32.55
Left bracket: B28V-56-5DX, $29.55
Mounting nuts (4 needed): 9994-01-003B, $1.60 each
Boost (vacum) sensor bracket: FS8M-18-835, $6.72
Bracket nut (1 needed): 9989-10-600, $1.35
The following is needed for cruise control models:
Bracket nut (3 needed): 9989-10-600, $1.35 each
Cruise control bracket: BN5W-66-3AY, $14.35
Rubber bushings for cruise control bracket mounts (2 needed): B6S7-13-349, $5.85 each
Mounting guides for cruise control bracket mounts (2 needed): UE54-66-3A5, $4.70 each
Mounting plate for cruise control bracket: BN5W-66-3B2, $4.70

(Note: The part number for the Boost Sensor Bracket in the FAQ is wrong - I fixed it in this quote.)

It should, but you may want to email MazdaStuff to make sure.
