Mazda in the Mountains
Okay guys...who's all going to this? Let's decide on a meeting spot so we can have the Edmonton Protege Club meet us there as well. After that, we'll all cruise together to Canmore.
Please post ideas on meeting spots. Remember..they're coming in from the north end of town.

I like Cochrane alot, but it's too far out. Stoney to 16th is faster than 22. Let's say Crowfoot somewhere to buy gas and snacks, then take off. I hope to god I have my car fixed by then...

The simplest thing to do is Have the Edmonton club turn on to country hills boulevard and follow it towards stoney. You can meet at any oy the 3 shopping complexes on the way down that road. I would recommed the Silver city on Country hills due to its abundant parking and diverse selection of Gas stations to satisfy the most discriminating fuel connoseur.

Ya Dave, that sounds like a plan. Silver City Movie Theatre on Country Hills Bvd. The exit is right off of Hwy2. It's on your right hand side when you're coming southbound. Just follow it and you won't miss the theatre. There's tons of gas stations on the way so we can all fill up before we head out.
Skyhawk, worse comes to worse, we'll all meet at Justin's house LOL. You know where that is.

Let's meet somewhere along 16 Ave / Hwy 1. It's more on the way for people from different parts (read: those in the south like me!).
When I meet with my friends to go to the mountains, we normally meet around either at the Shell / McDonald's east of COP, or Esso west of COP (@ Stony Plains). It works well for people living on the west side as well so they don't have to go back & forth.

I wonder what 'after lunch' mean? What time should we plan to arrive? I suggest one of the 2 itineraries ...
1. The long version ...
Meet at McD by COP at around 10:30am (breakfast or not)
Leave at around 11am (assuming people need to gas up & such)
Arrive at Canmore just after noon
Grab some lunch in Canmore & head to Nordic Centre 'after lunch'
2. The short version ...
Meet at McD by COP at around 11:30am (lunch or not)
Leave at around noon (assuming people need to gas up & such)
Arrive at Nordic Centre at around 1:30pm
I'm OK with either.
