I'm for the long version, but you E-towners will have pretty early to make it. Are you EPC guys all coming down together?

May I suggest #1 Margaret? That way, you can meet the other groups before the meet really gets started. Also, guys like me that are coming will have a chance to meet the 'new' CPC and EPC. I'll be VPC.

No. 2 works better for us since we do not get back into Calgary until 9:30 am on the 23rd. We are flying back from Vancouver so it would take us a few minutes to get from the airport I would think.

Hey Dion are you driving into Calgary from Van then back to Canmore. Seems a bit of double tracking to me?

So far, it looks like I will. Double backing, I know...but, it would be fun to drive with you guys again. The plan for me is meet you guys at COP McD's and then drive out to Canmore and then back to hang with you guys for din-din and then I then see the ton of friends and family I left behind. I'll be in Banff a month later too for Melissa's. This fall will be a hoot!

I don't think I will. I'll have the CPC and the EPC following me as I lead the WAY! OK, maybe not but, hey let's just all meet up. Can't wait to see all you guys again! It'll be a blast if all else fails we'll drive out to Elbow Falls and have a fire and roast some mallows.

Either plan works for me. We need to make an APC or a WCPC...

Either way works. But we all gotta meet at McD's before we head out though.

Let me be the first to put his fist down: 11am McDonalds across from COP on the #1 Hwy (16 Ave NW). Edmonton: take the Stoney Trail bridge off the #2 to get to the above mentioned location. Need more help? Enlist Maxx Mazda (Nick) or PR5OWNER (Em).

What's the final verdict on when/where we meet? And, directions to get there (for someone who's not all that familiar with Calgary)?

Also, what's the smoke situation looking like for the rest of this week and the weekend? Is it still as bad as it was last week, or is it supposed to keep getting better? I'm really looking forward to Saturday, but if the smoke is really bad, I don't know if I'll be going - it would simply spoil the whole day.

PS - 11 am is a little early, as it will mean leaving shortly before 8 (sacrilage on a Saturday! ); noon would be a little better. Just my 2 cents.

looks like I'll actually be coming out to this one. I got my GF to agree to drive out with me so I won't be bored on the ride up . I also fixed my camber/castor/toe problem so my car drives straight now (5 solid hours of tinkering) I'll see you all at McD's at 11 on saturday.

It seems like the consensus is:
Date & Time: Aug 23 @ 11am MDT
Place: McDonald's @ COP on 16 Ave NW
Directions:
Westbound - Go westbound on 16 Ave NW past intersection of Sarcee Dr. First McDonald's on your right (north) side.
Eastbound - Go eastbound on 16 Ave past COP. First McDonald's on your left (north) side.
There is a gas station (I think it's Shell) & coffee place (I think it's The Planet) in the same intersection.

Smoke is doing a lot better in Calgary. No more smell & sky is clearing up.
