I picked up the car from the stadium this morning. I think I'll change my turnsignals to pure hyperwhite before putting it back on the street. Next time I will just have to be more careful. I am also going to buy a car cover. I don't get how you protege's don't get robbed. You're lucky.

 

Well we have a very small community of protege owners and theres not aftermarket mods to steal off are cars. Plus people think Vtec is like Turbo so they wanna joyride your honda over are mazdas..Jon

Every drives a honda. You'll getting more money stealing and stripping a Honda than you would a Mazda.

 

I guess you guys are right. I don't know if I should go and tint my windows w/ having an alarm. I am thinking of maybe getting a T.V. and I can't do it w/ windows where people can just look in. How much do you guys think a T.V. will cost for me on a high school budget. When I find the people that stole my car.

 

Just the LCD screen can be anywhere from $300-$500. If you want the DVD built in, it can $700 plus. Install shouldn't be NO MORE than $90. Some shops vary.

BTW, what HS do you go to? Is this your last year?

 

Oh those prices look good but I want to tint my windows first. Currently I attend PHS and I am just finishing up my Junior year.

 

hey man, i feel your pain, mine wasnt stolen but it was broken into right outside of my house. they took my Screen, DVD player, head unit and EQ, my amps and woofers are in a custom enclosure so they couldnt get them. afterwards i ended up disconnecting the cable that allows access to the trunk from in the car that way someone cant get back there without the key and my headunit is now mounted with a bracket that i made that connects it to the fire wall, i dont think i could get it out if i wanted to now. but heres my story with cops, i live on the PG/Mont CO. border. my deed says silver spring but the post office doesnt recognize my address with that city, so my mailing is beltsville. i called PG police when it happened 3 hours later they call me back saying that i'm in Montgomery CO. when i called Mont CO police they were here in about 20 min. what the hell is wrong with PG?

 

after seeing a locksmith opening up my car door in 5 seconds (I locked my keys inside ), I will NEVER leave ANYTHING expensive apparently visible in my car.

definitely get an alarm system if you put in a multimedia system that's easily visible from the windows. It's just way too risky any other way, especially in PG county!!!!

 

I'll try to make it to the meet but I have to wait until my car gets out of the shop. Hopefully my car will be out by Friday. But if its not then you guys just have fun.
