virginia law on corner lamps?

i never realized them, but my front corner lamps are clear. the bulbs in those corner lamps are standard and produce the normal yellowish tint. i've already got amber (orange) side markers, side indicators, and side reflectors as required by VA law, but for the life of me, i cant find out if having those clear corner lamps are legal or if they need to be amber too. or the if just the bulb needs to be amber. i hope i wont run into any trouble because they've been passing inspection since i bought it. thanks.

They are legal. The only thing cops are worried about is if it is amber when in use (i.e. blinking).

I didn't think that Virginia police would even care in the first place. Just put hyperwhite bulbs all up front and you'll be fine.

well i was thinking of those white 4-LED 194 bulbs, but they appear more bluish than white when looking at them next to my headlamps. so i was thinking yellow 4-LEB bulbs or i might just use super white xenon 194 bulbs to better match the silverstar headlight bulbs i just put in. thanks.

sounds like you learned the hard way. however, usually louder mufflers are legal as long as they do not affect emmissions. lets face it, most people who get louder mufflers do it for the sound anyway. but there may be different regulations depending on your district/county. most of the time, especially in suburban areas, if you are pulled over for your muffler its for disturbing the peace. any and all markers need to be amber or of a color approved by the superintendant, which again can vary by district. sounds like those cops were giving you a hard time, and its understandable, most of them do not like "riced" out cars because there are some drivers who like to think they are in Fast & Furious and drive that way too.

you know what I say? **** Va Cops! lol I've been pulled over cause of my Exhaust on my nissan...its loud as hell. Cop told me to change it. I said ok.....never did nor gotten a ticket with it. The car even passed inspection with it. I've driven by plenty of cops with a loud exhaust. The thing I notice with them is that they won't bother you if you make it noticable. Oh yea I even have hyper white side markers. Still no ticket for them. Now wit my protege I plan on gettin 35% all around tints(illegal) and a custom exhaust. lol I also drive the highways with my bright *** GPS Navigational system lighting up my car. I know you saying, this guy is asking for trouble...Nope I just can't stand VA cops, they on that bullshit.

I got pulled over in VA Beach for not having a license plate on my front bumper. The screws broke off in the bumper and I showed the cop this, he said secure the license plate to the bumper with bailing wire. I asked him if I can put it inside in the window, he said "no, it might get stolen."

Few comments from experiance:
The corner lens are fine it is the bulb they are concerned about, just like you can't change your brake lights for other colors.

Even blue headlights can net you in trouble if the cop is being pissy.
But most times they won't care.

Exhaust systems do have a dB rating which they have to follow. Inspection stations don't seem to test for it but have had a friend pulled over cause of "loud" exhaust.

There are ALLLL kinds of nit picky laws around here to drive you crazy. Even had a cop say the A-pillar pod was illegal cause it would kill me in a accident. LOL!!

my idea is to get a xenon 194 bulb in the corner lamps to match the SilverStars i recently upgraded to. whats in there now are the stock 194 bulbs that give off that yellowish tint, just wanted to make sure they didnt need to be amber. i believe i've already got all required amber markings.
