I'm not sure about the price of gasoline in your part of the "east", but in Montreal, it has reached ridiculous levels. Why are these companies allowed to operate as one giant monopoly? This just makes me so freaking mad! These guys just magically raise their prices at the same time to the same level, and we're supposed to think that something ain't fishy about it? They are using the current political climate as an excuse to rip off the consumer once again.

Gas out here in Vancouver is terrible too. 81.9 here. It sucks. I take a gas can every Monday now too take all the cheap gas I can. We don't have the 'Save 3.5cent/litr' as in Alberta. I really don't understand that 3.5cents/litr thing, makes no cents.(scents)

We go by Litres. Damn haven't you people down there heard of the Metric system? hehehe
1 L => 0.26 Gal
It's hovering in the upper 70's in Toronto right now .. might go down for a while tomorrow morning for the commuting people.

Imagine this
0.80 $CAD / liters * 3.785412 liters/US Gallon = 3.03 $CAD / US gallon
3.03 $CAD/US Gallon * 0.6531 $US / $CAD = 1.97$ US / US Gallon.
So you can imagine why we are complaining.
To pay 1.40US/Gallon in $ Cad/Liters = 56.6 cents a liters.
