What size rims can i put on my ES 2.0 w/winters?

Myself I've put on 15 inch wheels with P195-55-R15 Nokian Tyres. When buying Steels wheels, be carefull and insure that the center, is exactly the size of the stock one. You want to stay away from those universal steel wheels. Mazda wheels are configure to sit on the wheel center and not the bolts.

As Raptor said the Protege has "hubcentric" wheels meaning they will vibrate at speed if the wheel bore size does not match the hub diameter. I bought some cheep 5 spoke alloys from Kaltire (110 each) and some hubcentric rings to make them fit properly and have been very happy with them. I'm thinking the massive increase in unsprung weight with 15 inch steel wheels would upset the stock suspension which does not seem to have a lot of rebound dampening.
I have my winter tires on for roughly 50% of the year so I wanted something that still looked decent.

I bought some steel wheels. The centre doesn't go perfectly around the centre (hub??). There are gaps around it.
So you got something to put around the hub to make a good fit?
ps - For those how have replaced their wheels, have you noticed that the centre piece (hub??) for the back wheels have a cover on it, but the front ones don't?
