Yep I gotta call bullshit on this too. No way 162. I hit 147 with my 3 JL Audio 10 W6's with 1000 watts of Phoenix Gold power to them. ANd one of my best friends used to thave 3 15's with 1200 watts and could only hit 151.

 

I had the pleasure of listening to a the KICKER BEAST and the KICKER world record setting van , and yes it was dam loud.

 

thanks for all the comments.... and like i said, i thought that number was bullshit....

tonight we messed with some wiring and i saw his dB meter.... and like most things, he was bullshiting, he was only running 128dB (not bad at all).

but to the 160dB rating, ive heard (sorta, with ear plugs).... my uncle was a jbl speaker design engineer, so ive heard my fair share of loud speakers at the factory and engineering labs with him.

but still, im very amazed with that system regardless of the rating

 

OneHawiian- This post really is kinda like me saying that these old kickers really kick

we have the system done and completed now, we actually added two more speakers to the list of audio components....

two kicker impulse 6.5 2 way speakers.... installed in the front door panels (there were no speakers in there)

but to recap, there are 8 speakers, and two subs, two amps, and one tracer....

oh,these impulse speakers kick *** too, my dad swore subs were hitting when we tested these speakers out originally in my car.
