I had a thoght the other nite while searching thru the forums.

I need to replace the front end eventually and I was thinking of going with a conversion to another year gen.

I like both the 2nd and 3rd gen alot, but how different are the mounts for the bumpers, hoods, and fenders.

I remember reading somewhere that someone put a 90 integra front lip on their 323, and I was thinking that since that was almost same size, why not do the whole bumper. There are alot of kits for Acura, and I know that would open up a whole list of aftermarket possibilities.

If you can get the mounts close to lining up let me know, cause I got a friend that is good with metal, and he converted his '94 Del Sol to a '96 Civic front. Looks good, I will post some pics if anyone wants me to.

Anyone else got any ideas or played around with converting? I know with enough money anything can get done, but I was looking for a reasonable priced conversion.

I think a second gen bumper and reinforcement might fit on the 1st gen ..
I don't think the 1st gen would look bad with the 2nd gen head lights. and if it was the 2nd gen 97-98 lights the corners would be easy as hell to fit ...
I may look into some P5 or mp3 front lights on my Protege if I keep my car long enough

i'm doing what your talking about this summer i'm getting a 90-93 integra bodykit supposedly it should bolt up pretty easily i'll let you know

 

Sounds good, I may look into a 97 pro front if the integra kit doesnt work out.

i think i'd get a 02's front end if that would work

 

I really want to try to put a p5 front on my car, as the corner fog lights would look really sweet, especially on a first gen. I guess with more money and time anything can be done.

I plan to try something like that. If I do, I will post pics and let yall see how it goes.
