2 X 15 inch subs
Hey what do you guys reckon of me boot install? Im pumping out 143 db, if any one has a pumping stereo in a protege (sedan not hatch) can you tell me what your pumping out and what kind of subs you have in, I wish i had brought a hatch though they can pump out an extra 5 db.

Nice set up you got there! I like the sound of the two 12s I got. They are good all around and are there for that extra push over the cliff when you feel like blasting someone next to you out. Especially neighbors with obnoxious little Dashunds that bark at the grass growing all day long. When I was adjusting the sub amp on my SPL 12's, I pulled the car around the back yard along side of the house where these 2 Dashunds were barking (all day and night) and rattled some of the ******** windows in the process. I won't do it again, but it felt good there---sweet revenge. I just got off from working night shift and their dogs barked all ******* day long! They are the type who don't do anything because they just think of themselves, so I did the same.

Looks nice, don't like the choice of color, the green, but to each his own. What kind of subs are those, i would think with some better tuning you could hit a little higher than 143db. Also, what kind of amp is powering them. As for systems in a sedan, just look at my sig, never got it tested so couldn't tell you my power.

The subs are FUSION have you heard of them, they are a new zealand mob that make really hard subs, the sybol is Black and green so thats why i went that colour, yer i want more out of it to, it is probably the tester i was using at the time. the Amp im running is a 2500 watt INFINITY Amplifier. Im quite pleased with it.

having the speakers at different angles like that will make them out of phase, so you won't hit outragous SPL there are a lot of factors that contribute to your SPL. another thing is that you are running sealed boxes, from the looks of it. large ported boxes do much better, and need less power for the subs to reach full excursion. take my $200 sub that ran off a $250 amp. both power acoustik. a **** 15" and an A1700D amp. i was hitting 151.3 before i took it all out. in a smaller ported box i was hitting 145.3. then i switched to a transmission line box and bumped it up to 148.6. then i rebuilt the TL box making it more efficient, and replaced the amp with one that was more efficient, but about the same power. that bumped me up to 151.3 dB. being that you have a sealed enclosure, you can't really tune anything. and proper tuning and alignment can add 10 dB if done right. ive seen guys spend weeks retuning and realigning their setups and gain 10+ dB. and i've also seen guys gain nothing. it can be frustrating if you want to be really loud.
BTW, you don't need a hatch to be loud

g"day....sorry I just had too do it!
I'm running a pure sound quality car, but we got bored and put the mic. to my 3, 12" kove x series subs(small sealed enclosure )
we nudged just over 140.4 on 600 watts and to small of a box for the subs(we are still testing things)
Kinda cool for an sq set up!
I think the green is kool, its different not the same as all that gray carpet you see everywhere!
blue the raw mdf is the way to go, if looks arent the thing you are worried about. most of my stuff is raw mdf and glass till we get the stage and imaging dailed in!

On the front cover of this site it is a hatch advertising protege club, thats why i want to know if the hatches are proteges over there????????????
