2000 Honda Accord DIN pocket
I used the Honda Accord DIN pocket in my after-market head unit install and it looks great. It is a little on the skinny side and there are no btrackets like on the Metra pocket that hold it in place but with a little creativity..(i.e. cardboard) I was able to build up the gaps and make it look nice. The only other thing I did was cut the face plate surropunds from the Metra kit to fill in the gaps on the top and bottom of the head unit.
As anyone who has put an aftermarket head unit into one of our cars (I have a 2002 PR5), there isn't much behind the dash to mount an aftermarket anything to. It is basically a big hole. So, i you wre to ask me how my pocket and head unit stay in place, all I can say is .."magic I guess." It doesn't rattle nothing flys out of place when I hit bumps, it just stays put.
The Accord pocke can be had from any dealer, I had to order mine, and costs $20. The part number is 77280-S84-A11ZA. It is listed as just a "pocket."
I really fopr the life of me can not figure out how to post pics on here so if anyone can give me a quick tutorial other than the one on the forum here (it is greek to me), I will post pics of my head unit install.
P.S. installed my chrome guage bezels from Dave B and they really add to the interior. It is a nice classy touch for $30.
