hi all, i'll probably be buying a new hu this year, obviously i won't be using my radio anymore so i was thinking of putting it in my mom's car, i have a 2003 pro she has a 99, does anyone know if the wiring is similar or if the harnesses are similar?

 

I am not positive, but I believe they are different. The reason why I think this is because it took a year (literally!) for one manufacturer to come out with the 2001 and up wire harness! So I would say most likely they are different. There should still be a way of wiring it in to your mom's Protege regardless. I would imagine the color scheme of the wiring hasn't changed.
