2003.5 P5's have tweeter seperates
#4
Better than the prior speakers, but not much I am afraid to say!
Still a paper cone, cheap low bid by pioneer. The tweeter is the same low bid stuff, with a two small capacitor crossover, and I understand easy to blow.
The upside is that the location can be used to install some nice aftermarket tweeters in a component system, if the sail plane is where you like the sound of your music.
Actually the sail planes is a little high and detached from the main driver for really good sound I am afraid.
BUT something is better than nothing...

I would have to say that the factory tweeters are actually decent, I have my fronts amped getting 55rms and I left the stock tweeters in place. My 5x7s play much louder than the stock tweeters but the additional sound makes for better imaging and a larger sound in the front of the car. I've tried it both ways and i like them left on. Note that they are being powered by my amp and have not blown and there getting a solid 55w.

2003's have them too....
Just as an FYI.
They do sound fair (not very bright, but better than none.)
Good to hear they'll hold a bit more power. I'm running Premier 840MP head power to the four corners now, but drooling on a JL 300/4 to bring my 4 Kenwoods to life. Hey, gotta match the sub amp!
