2nd Gen TVs
I don't know what to do... I had originally bought 2 sorta slim 5.6" screens to install into my factory visors.. turns out they were too big when I unraveled the circuitry and everything else.
Then I bought these universal visors w 5.6" screens installed already. They're really cool but I'm gonna have to make new holes for the thing that the visor clips onto and I don't wanna make holes in my roof 'cause I never know if and when I would have to sell the car.
Do I have any other choice to put in some screens in the front of the car? I don't think I can install a in-dash DVD system 'cause the '95 + '96 models bring the dash waaay down by the stickshift and the dash comes out above the radio thus not permiting the screen to tilt enough I think.
I know I could install a roof-mounted screen but I might aswell install the visors 'cause I would make some holes anyways.
WHAT SHOULD I DO???? I want to play DVDs!!!

this is a sticky situation . there is an option that costs a lot, and is a difficult install and you would want to put the stock one back if u sell it, but u could do a steering wheel monitor. obviously there are a lot of drawbacks. another would be buying one of those portable dvd players, not necessarily those for your car, and take it apart. separate the monitor and disc tray, wire the audio into your own system, find a sweet place to mount and hide the disc tray with the controls, tap a power source, and finally mount the screen where ever u want it. i have been thinking of doing this, but there are a couple things: it is in the open [at least the monitor] all the time [although, i have been looking for a way to make it fold down into the dash] and will stick out; second it also still requires mounting....which you may need to make holes, but there may be a way to mount with some sort of adhesive, which would clean up after you pulled it off. im not sure if this would work for you. lots of work, but if you cant get a flip up for your car, i dont know what else.
hope i helped some

Thanx but if I install it in the steering wheel.. it will leave the screen exposed. I was hoping it would be a hidden install. I understand if I had the 97-98 dash I could install an indash DVD because the radio is on top but I don't have a 97-98. DARN! I don't know... Anyone else have any suggestions..

Is there an indash monitor that comes out far enought that can be tilted enough for me to see the screen @ the correct angle?
I don't know if this would fit anyway..
I'm thinking of something like this, but unfortunately this isn't motorized and doesn't have am-fm.

#1 If I relocate the A/C controls what am I going to do with the cables that are connected to these.
#2 The previous owner did a nice little "invention" Since the original A/C control got screwed... he put in 626 controls (I think) and the vent controls don't work only the temp and compressor button.
#3 I looked at that and the A/C controls are wider than the radio area.

for #1 ,, you can look in my original post , I said you can just extend the wires.... may be a little work , but then what in life is easy...
for #2 .. check your junkyard for a thrashed 2nd gen and hook up the controls and ur set .. or just fix the one you have
for #3 the din cover will take care of that , infact I would actually be happy that it it wider ...
See where they put the radio in the 95-96 it just won't do .. it's in the way of the damn cups , it is hard to see ,, and all the other complaints to ..
the 97 model fixed this , but I don't like the 97 dash which is why I won't swap to them, I think the 95 has that sleeker more modern looking dash. But I believe that the internals behind the dash should be the same , and you should be able to fit the radio down there...
If you really want to get fancy , you can put the air controls in the glove box and then install a TV ,, like 4"+ in there in a custom case and then have 2 tv's in the front or 1 or whatever floats a person's boat....
it can be done

I fully understand and agree with you..
The reason I mention the cables is that I'm not sure if they have to be in a certain angle or position to be functional.
The other things was the width. I don't care about the radio going into the a/c part. I worry about the a/c going into the radio part. I don't think it'll fit unless I do as you said and stick the a/c into the glove box OR as I saw (unfortunately) in a Civic.. The owner stuck the a/c controls where the middle arm rest is.
How difficult would it be to extend cables and all that good stuff related to the a/c controls?

well to extend the wires it won't be that hard.
You basically would have to have a good wire stripper and clip the wires, but leave enough to strip the cord and reatach the extra wire too.
the figure where your going to put the controls and relocate them ...
