323 badge on my p5

I was at the junkyard the other day snoopin around and ripped of a badge from a early 90,s 323. I replaced the protege5 emblem in the back of the car with the 323 emblem. The original p5 emblem started to look cheasy to me. After all our cars are originally 323s. trying to keep it original as possible. I have no other exterior mods except for the stock rims painted black, red calipers and lowered 2 inch stance. Flame on if you like, i think it looks dope. Sorry dont have any pics try to get some up soon of my all motor monster.

It's all good, whatever makes you happy. I have a Japanese "Roadster" badge on my Miata (they are called "Roadster" in Japan).

As long as the badge is in good shape. I have seen the finish flake off the older Mazda badges...my old 626 badges were pealing off leaving the yellow plastic below

It looks brand new. I forgot what country it is but the p5 actually comes with a 323 badge. I think its europe. Was thinking about the MP5 badge like the MP3 but there is no such thing as a MP5. Kind of regret putting mp5 at the end of my name as i got flamed for it but oh well.

The European P5 in general,I think, is badged as the 323F.
I have seen a picture of a German one only,But for the most part they (car companies) only make one car for the European market with minor changes( language etc.) as far as I know.
But I could be wrong.

Tell me how you painted your rims black!! It looks GREAT!!!
I added a red pinstripe down the sides and thought red rims would pull it together until I saw your black rims.

I thought the same thing so I looked at some of the Mazda sites for other countries and it looks like most of the European sites have it listed as just 323.

Yeah, -99 and -00 Pro's are called 323F and sedan is just sedan. I think newer ones are just 323 but I'm not sure. And yes, those are called 323 in generally here in Europe. Gen2 pro's had different names like familia, mio, neo and forte (also 323F) which looks really cool

In Europe, they've always been the 323...with the current Protege-5 being the 323F, similar to a version that we didn't get.
That's not quite right, our Gen 2's were those which I mentioned so for a while they weren't 323's. After that those names were added with 323 and then again just 323

But remember, I'm only talking about Mazdas in Finland, not in whole Europe

In my opinion that 94-98 323F is maybe the most beautiful 323 ever

Did they make the 323F in the US? How much hp did it have? Was it the same price range as the current Protege? Do you know any good links on the 323F history, etc. Thanks

there's couple of clubs here in Europe, here's 2

Mazda 323 (94-98) homepage

Mazda 323F Club - Holland

For more make a google search with just "mazda 323F"

We got those cars with
1.5L ~ 90ho
1.8L ~ 114hp
and
2.0V6 ~145hp

Prices were pretty much alike with current pro

No idea about the US situation

Yes thats the one that came with the V6. Well it did in the UK. I can't rear Dutch but the red one that I'm looking at was the one A fiend of mine had in Wales with a V6 that was in the MX-3 here ins the USA.

Yo boosted, you say you have a 2 inch lowered stance, but in your specs it says you have H&R's. How is this? Cause I have the H&R's and they only lowered it about 1 1/4". Heck I even had to take 3/4's of a coil out of the front after I put my subs in. Now the front fender sits right on the tires, and the back fender is just barely above the rear tires, maybe 1/8-1/4", I'ma probably end up trimming about 1/4 of a coil out fo the back today so both ends sit on the tires. SO please lemme know how you got a two inch drop, thanks.

Didn't the 323 start out as the GLC...as in Great Little Car I remember looking at them in 1978/79.

1964? I was just about pottie trained then! It's amazing. We start out life and end life in diapers. I test drove a GLC in 78 or 79. I was impressed with it but the used ones I saw were loaded with rust so I went with a corolla. Don't worry though...my sister redeemed the family name and drove a 808 Deluxe!
