Unhappy 3rd gen rattles

Alright, my 2000's trunk rattles with my subs. And there's this freaking pinging sound coming from the front underneath where the wipers are. What have you third gen owners done about rattling after installing your subs?

you gotta buy some dynamat or equivelent.. I have dynamat and got the vibration from my infinity kappa perfect down to almost nothing (except the bumper but I'm not taking off the rear bumper till I get a rear skirts so that can wait)..

you can put it anywhere (it's almost like strong double sided tape with foil looking stuff) and it's easy enough to remove if someday you should sell your car

dynamat extreme (the very expensive variation) is supposedly very well worth it and I know somebody with a jetta done with that stuff.. I just have the classic "original".. extreme is lighter in weight I think and dampens a little better

mine rattles too!

Wuz-up,

I have a '99 LX-touring and it to rattles like a...
I have found rattles from
1. The rear bumper, this I think I'll fill with expandable foam, unless anyone has a better idea.
2. The rear package tray(below the rr window), I'm going to replace the plastic with RS blue carpet.
3. The lic.plate(this I fixed with Velcro).
4. The third brake light in the spoiler(this I haven't fixed...do the LEDs in anyone elses spoiler look like they're not attached. The "rail" of LEDs just slides around in the red plastic casing).
5. The drivers door panel.

All this from 1 Rockford 12"

I'm changing to 2- 10" subs and will install a **** load of dynamat...then start chasing more rattles...why do we get into this vicious circle?
For the love of cars & music!

My rear deck started rattling a couple days ago. And one of my rattles comes from the trunk lid. It's weird, it's on the top of it in the center. I can't figureo out what's rattling together there. But the rear deck is getting really annoying. I can hear that inside the car :\

AHH! I've got a 1998 626 and I have the rattle from the rear bumper or at least that's where I think it's coming from. I don't really get any rattle from the trunk lid itself, I solved the license plate prob but now I've got this mysterious rattle from underneath the rear of the car.

Is that the rear bumper? Can I remove it and shoot some foam in there or what? Can anyone provide some good instructions or pictures?

i tried some clear cocking, but its not seems to make a difference
when i tightened it, i just managed to strip the f$ck outta the screws..
so i dunno

i did go with 2 10's
so far, the only rattle i'm hearing is in the rear

the rattle coming from underneath the car is most probably your exhaust shield..as it is made from really thin metal. number plates can be fixed with some sort of foam between the body and the plate. what ***** me is the rattle from the parcel tray (brake light fixture)
