4gauge power wire through the firewall 08 Mazda 3
I have an 08 Mazda 3 (Sedan) non bose. I am trying to run a power wire through the firewall. The car is a standard 5 speed. I have searched high and low and could use some advice. Does anyone have photos possibly?

If you look behind the gas pedal there's a white plug in the firewall. It lines up with a hole through the insulation and everything, as if it's for an old school throttle cable option.
This is a large enough hole to fit two 4ga wires through with a little effort. The ground needs to have a short portion stripped, then cover with electrical tape to protect it from the elements. Run that ground through first with the thinner part in the hole, then the power can be fed through as a tight fit next to it.
I'm not sure what you are planning to hook up, but you may be able to get away with smaller wire and not have to worry about stripping and such as I mentioned above.
Send me a PM if you need pictures of the location or anything.

You asked for pics in a PM, taken with a flashlight, but it shows you the location. In the engine bay the wires are covered with split loom tubing, they can be routed behind / through the brake tubing and right into the top of the battery box once you cut an access hole in the box.

Installing 4 gauge wire through firewall
I was searching for a place to install a 4 gauge wire through the firewall of a 2007 3 sedan and found this thread. I installed in the same place as shown in the pics above and it worked great, thanks a ton! I was trying to avoid mounting through the main wire loom on the passenger side for fear of heat damaging the wire as it traveled behind the engine. Anyway, just wanted to give thanks even though the thread was a little old.
