5.1 dts surround sound
Hey whats up fellas, I have a question for all of you guys that know their stuff about car audio. I am planning to get the clarion dts 5.1 surround sound unit item(DVH 920) to go with my vrx925vd deck. I was also planning to add a in dash equalizer to fill the extra single din slot.
ok here is the question. i have spoken with some friends and they have told me that it is useless to run the equalizer because it will cancel out the dts surround. They were saying something about how the dts makes 5 distinct channels will the eq only has two, therefore making my dts useless. Doyou guys know if this is true? If so what do you think i can add into that slot to fill that single din slot? SORRY for making it soo long

The DTS decoder should already have a parametric EQ built into it. I know Clarion's indash DVD player has DTS and a built in EQ. Check the specs on the decoder. You shouldn't have to buy an extra EQ, unless you want the dancing lights in your dash.

my deck already has a 7inch screen so i don't think i need another screen right under it. heh. But if you guys could give me any opinions on what i could potentially put under it that would be great. I was thinking maybe a in dash cd changer what do you guys think? can i run pioneer with clarion?
