99 Debadge?

ok, two main questions.......

out all you guys with debadge pro's, are any of your's 99's, and if so, what the heck did you do about those holes behind those plastic plates...... (i'm not sure what they did on other models)

and i know a lot of you have remove the molding on the side. i want to know if they did the same crap to the molding as they did with the badging on the back. if ANYONE has a 99 pro and has the molding removed or has tried please let me know and send a pic if you can.

Thanx a crap load,

Mr. Green

Kincaid debadged his back end...it's not a 99, but it's pretty much the same. To cover up the holes, I think it'll be pretty costly. From what I remember, Kincaid cemented up the holes, sanded them down and repainted the entire trunk cover.

Here are some pics of my car post moulding-removal:

Again, it's not a 99, but it's the same. And no, it's not the same as the badging on the back. The side mouldings are only held on with adhesive. There are no holes underneath.

OH THANK GOD.......

that DOES look sweet and i've seen a few pics.

as far as the whole cement thing, i think that's a bit much.
thanx for the info, but i guess i'll have to find another way.

Yep. That's what we did. Filled the holes, sanded them, removed spoiler and repainted the trunk.

We did it ourselves so it didn't cost much at all.

Check my sig for the pics. I've also got my side mouldings gone.

Don't you think that's a bit too much though? Just for those small two holes? Take an eraser, cut it out to barely fit in the hole, and paint it black . Or try and fill the hole whichever way you can so that it doesn't start rusting from there...

I don't think it's too much at all. It's four holes, two behind each emblem. An eraser would be a **** job. Cheap, tacky and pointless as it's not watertight or anything close.

We could have just sanded and repainted the two areas where the holes were filled but it would have taken just as much time to blend the paint. So I think it was fine. And only took about two hours to do. Longer for the paint to dry of course.

2 problems that i could see in repainting......

1) for me, costly. i don't have or know anyone that paints cars, and i would want the car to be baked after painting to allow me to wax it sooner, which would add to my cost.

2) as previously stated, a bit much just for 4 holes. I'm not completely against the idea, i love it actually, just not economically practical for me. ya know.......

oh, BTW, i know a lot of you guys have side markers, but my question is, how are yours wired? Mine currently only light up to blink, but then are off when i'm not turning. I would like to have them light up and blink. i'm sure this is an easy question and everyone has done it, but i'm new to these forums and wouldn't know.

thanx,

Mr. Green
