After Market Rims for Hatchback Mazda 3

All,
I am looking for some 17 or 18's for my hatchback. I have not seen anything that catches my eye yet and my stocks are starting to grow on me . If you have pictures of your hatchback with aftermarket rims please post and give some basic info. on them if you would please. I have read other posts with the same issue, not able to find the exact rim that sets the car off right.

Well, I'm into the stocks for now too. I added a Mazda 3 decal to a spoke on each wheel...and I like it. You can check it out on my cardomain site, if you want.

If I were to get a wheel for my hatch though, I would choose the Konig Unknown in 17 or 18 inches. Here's a pic of them on a 6. tell me what you think.

I will absolutely never understand people's fascination with the Konig Unknowns..

Does konig make anything that isn't flashy, heavy, and in no way, shape, or form sporty looking? Sure on a civic or accord who cares, the cars aren't sporty anyway

I like to browse here, here, and here. Keep at it and something will pop out at you. Stock 17" alloys are heavy and look it, too.

As far as unknowns go,

^^ don't forget www.autornd.com and .. *gasp* www.wheelmax.com (everyone likes to trash wheelmax but my 17x7 wheel and 215/40-17 ecsta mx combo only weighs 34.3 pounds, and they've held up to horrible city road driving abuse!)

I do recommend getting some rotas and getting them ASAP though lol (see autornd link above, they have nice stuff)

anything to save mine eyes from seeing konigs on a Mazda

that's why I call mine 'surprise advans'.. they are wheelmax advan knockoffs that are absolutely, perfectly, 100% mold identical.. and they're so light! The 18x8 advan version of the wheel is 16 pounds, and mine are 14.6! they even have "KREUZER V" (the advan model) cast into the back of each of them... but were only $475 shipped for the original 4 I bought

I always go on autornd looking at some classy rotas and end up looking at Advans or other high-brow wheels :P it's a trap!

Well, it really depends on what you're going for. If you want to make your car lighter and more 'stealth,' then yes - konig's are absolutely not for you. On the other hand, if you're looking for something eye-catching and aren't going to be tracking, then they are one of my first choices.

Black/black is for a specific kind of car - Nice for racing, not much for looks

I bought 10 spoke 18s from WheelMax.com. You enter in your car, and the site gives you all the wheels that will fit your car.

Kansei

Thank's for the info, I was stuck in finding 18" wheels for my 3 that I liked; I found a great looking set from wheelmax.com
