Ahhh Pain In The *** Head Unit!

ok, i know how this must sound to you guys. u must be saying to yourself " are u kidding me? this kid is still posting about his damn stock head unit."

but i'll be serious here. i'm like almost there. i pryed out the cover of it, meaning the plastic piece with the radio controls and all that. my problem right now is still taking out the radio. i bent the metal so that i could see on the sides of the factory HU. but i dont see ****. i stuck the din tools on both sides and tried 2 push in but this damn thing just dont seem to move anymore. i really hope i didnt just f**k this whole thing up. what should i do once i have that plastic piece off b/c i need to know where to go from here. any help is appreciated.

this is just so frustrating b/c i had my harness all ready, the head unit and din pocket. . . . if i could only get the factory one out . . . .

ya know....by now you are pretty pissed off....you have spent a LOT of time messing with this thing.....

I think its time you put it all back to gether...and either take it to an good audio place and pay them to pull the deck....OR take it back to your dealer and have them do it.....

BEFORE you do mess something up bad.

BL - have you at least done a search of the board to find info on how to get the stock deck out? There's TONS of it out there, all you gotta do is look...

If you have - sorry for that suggestion. If you still can't get it out, head on over to just about any car stereo shop and ask an installer to pop it out for you. Try to see the installer directly, so you can just slip him $10 for his 2 minutes - the shop manager will try get you for a "service appointment" or other crap = more $$.
