Alarm Solution... Please help.

Hi,

I need some suggestions as to what alarm is the best for me living in a building and parking my car in an underground parking.

I need an alarm that has a motion detector, like the one that can make a loud beep when somebody goes near the car around 5 inches - an RF one that can send an alert message and a beep on the LCD receiver unit from an underground parking lot.

Any thoughts/suggestions appreciated.
Thanks,

Toronto_P5.

the best buy in tallahassee sells it here. i think it was around $270. Alittle pricey but it came with that really cool lcd remote that tells you what's goin on with your car.

get the compustar spred spectrum alarm...has everything the viper alarm has and more...has 1.2mile range, you can get alarm/remote starter, very pricy though for the remote starter/alarm combo your probably looking at $800 with installation and tax (thats how much mine cost 1.5 year ago)

Thanks so much for the info guys - i got the models and locations.
Right now i have three models to decide:

1. AutoPage RS-750LCD. $770 installed
2. Matrix RS 3 $700 installed
3. Compustar 2WSS-AS No qoute yet.

Which one of this works best with our P5 and easier to install?
I am sure we all know that the dealership sometimes complains to fix a problem caused by improper/unprofessional alarm installation.

Somebody vandalized and brake into my car while parked underground - I need an alarm that can page/beep me - the one that can work from an underground parking 2 level down from the ground.

Which of the three can do the job?

Thanks for your time.

Thanks for your reply, i appreciate it but,
Did you even read previous posts?

You are comparing a Canadian dollar alarm price to a U.S dollar Protege5 price. Actually $700 (cad) is not bad, some people paid more than that.

I'd reccommend either the clifford or the compustar

the autopage is said to have a weaker antennae.

the nice feature with the compustar is that it has a turbo
timer on it. If you have or plan to have a turbo kit.

How many floors down (from ground level) do you park?

Say you park 2 Levels down do you think it is still going to work if you are on level 4 or 5 up (from ground) of the building?

Thanks for your time.

Thanks for your posts Darksyde and others I needed more range as I am also surounded by big tall buildings. I got the Autopage RS-850LCD instead (just came out). It has half a mile range and
"page to driver from inside and outside the car" feature which is great if i am in the mall and someone wants to page me without the alarm going off.
