alpine cda-9815 ?
What do you guys think of this deck Alpine cda-9815?
It should be out in a few days I'm thinking of buying it.
its got bass engine pro, eq, time correction and 3 4v rca's - high price! I will be using the 4volts to an amplifier that would power the front & sub. The internal amp to power the still stock rear speakers. but I'm still researching new hu's from eclipse. help me decide.

I am also getting the 9815. It also has I personalize and I believe the 5 channel parametric EQ along with 6 channel time correction, and 3 or 2 way digital crossovers.
I have owned 4 Eclipse head units, none for more then 3 months since they have all been junk. Sound good but there quality control is a joke. I don't feel comfortable selling them at all. Its a shame becuase they really do sound and look great. Well except for the damn trim ring that always bows.

Check your needs. If you plan on running all amps, check the Eclipse CD8053. It'll be out soon too. 3 16 volt preouts. Also offers the ELAN hookup for the 5.1 processor and voice command. It's strictly a pre-amp deck, no wattage output. Alpine gives you alot more toys inside (time correction, bass and treble crossover points, etc) but it kinda depends on what amps you're gonna run and what they can handle for input. My experience with both brands has been good. I've found better service out of Eclipse, but both products seem to do very well. Do some checking, plan your needs and go from there. You'll be happy -w- either one.

well i mean therewould still the quality of the cable. i would rather use TRS connections,(they are the same length as a 1/4 is connecter, but the size of 1/8, and its balanced). monster would do just fine if car audio went to balanced cables. they still do alot of video stuff, home audio and pro audio stuff. I would even venture to say goto S/PDIF(fiber) but too many people would break the cable, not to mention they aren't cheap to begin with. but even with a 100 bucks monter rca cable, its still not crystal clean balanced sound

I finally got the Alpine 9815 installed. what a nice deck, pretty easy controls. The deck has vibrant blue leds thats dimmable which also match my neon blue lights in the interior. The display is interesting without being distracting. The time correction is really cool. The eq is ok nothing special, I just need to tweak the sound controls. I ran a 10-guage wire from battery to the deck per Alpine manual for better internal amp 4x60w. That runs the rear factory speaker a little bit cleaner but still need to upgrade the rear speakers. I also added an Ai-net adapter which runs rca inputs for connecting a portable dvd player to play in the system.
FM reception was good and clean using factory antenna. rca 4v worked great with my amplifier no problems. I will be competing in sound comps soon and needed a comp deck. The only downside was it takes a little longer to insert & eject a cd because of the motorized face. Also it reads the disk before playing it, only a few seconds but noticable. I give this deck a good rating overall buy it!
Ikesound is a decent place I actually bought my Mb Quart speakers there. I went to pick them up the place is in FT. Lauderdale, a legit business, friendly and was product was factory sealed mib.
