hey I was looking around for a p5 antenna...you know the one that sits in the middle on the roof!!! Well I haven't be able to figure out what they are called or where to get them or something that looks like them!!!! If you could please help me out!!!!

i got one for my car from a totaled P5 at a junkyard. i'd say, to save some money, go 2 a junkyard i got the base and antenna for only 26 i think. i asked the dealer and they wanted like 99 for just that part

you could also grab one off an older VW, easier to find than a P5 in a junkyard...the brand is Fuba, not sure what the P5 is, but all VW's used Fuba antennas. If you do get it from a junkyard, you will need to get the whole cable right up to the radio (or a break if there is one) a complete cable is always better than spliced cable.
Pretty sure Metra and Harada sell both universal brands and real Fubas. Some are amplified, some aren't.

Not sure what you mean by wiring....
If it's amplified, then it will have 3 wires, the antenna cable and power and ground wires.
It's best to get the antenna cable complete with the antenna. Yes it can be cut and another one spliced, but an antenna cable has a small inside wire inside a protective jacket, then a grid of sheilding wires, then the black jacket you see., unless you get a good connector kit, it will always only be 80% and reception may suffer. As most have the antenna cable hard wired to the base of the antenna mount, although some do come with a plug, most don't. So if your pulling one from a junked car, don't just cut the antenna cable, take the time to rip the **** out the car and get the cable complete right up to the radio.
As for the power wires, no trouble there. Make sure the power wire is fused and goes to either an ignition (switched with key) wire or to a constant 12v. The ground can be grounded anywhere on the chassis. Although i suggest you drop it down with the power wire and not drill a ground screw through the roof

well i think the P5 antenna is non amplified. i got the base and antenna from a junkyard. i also got a diagram of the whole antenna system from the dealer. it had a whole wire, like two or three piece wire. i was wondering if u can get that somewhere else.

any local stereo shop can get you the antenna extension if needed.

Yes that is what you'd need. The antenna plugs are generally standard and look just like the one in the link you posted. All aftermarket antennas look like that, but some OEM antennas are funky and would need adapters.
In the antenna pics posted here, looks like the plug was spliced on. Unless that tape is from a body clip to secure it.
