Anyone Interested In A Front Lip For Sedan
I emailed Jason Hill of wings west again to incur about the new body kit. I also mentioned to him the interest I had for a front lip. He said I was the only one who has mentioned something like this to him. Anyone that is interested in a front lip please send him an email with your plead.
Send to: jhill@wingswest.com
Thanks

Yeah, I told him I have a 2002. I also edited the pic of the infamous lip that jdmprotege has. I made it look stock with the lip. Check it out!

I agree with MarkSpark. If you want this to happen then just flood Wings West with emails. The only way is for them to see lots of interest.
" If you build it....they will come"
I also emailed Jason with the same picture of the white Protege.
Definitely recommend 2nd gen. owners do the same thing.

Jay just emailed me and told me to post this. Looks like it's not gonna happen.
Please copy and post this in the thread you started on the protegeclub.com
message board, as an answer to all the requests that were emailed to me
regarding a front lip for the new Protege.
Being a car enthusiast myself, I can appreciate the efforts you and the
others have made in "pleading" for a certain product you desire for your
car. I've been there personally with the same desires, the same ambition,
and the same passion for building my car. However, I feel it's appropriate
at this time to give you a little feedback and perspective from a different
standpoint - The Manufacturer's.
Based on the posts in the thread I looked at, many of you think that if you
"bombard" a company (in this case, Wings West) with emails, phone calls, and
requests for a certain product, that we'll be forced to make it because of
the demand. I can tell you that doing this with Wings West will RARELY get
results. As a manufacturer, we have to do market studies, we look at
overall sales of certain cars, certain parts, certain niche's, and yes we
consider the overall "demand" of a product before we finalize a decision.
To be honest, even if you had 1000 people right now that would buy one, we
still wouldn't be able to even begin tooling for another 6 month's or more.
I mentioned to you (Mark) that you were the first one that's asked me about
a front lip. The key word here is "me" - there may have been other requests
that were taken by other salespeople here.
With all this being said, we do appreciate your feedback, and it is noted.
Please, don't send us anymore emails on this issue. For the most up to date
information on new products please visit our website at www.wingswest.com.
Thank you,
Jason Hill
