He probably used a brush and probably the high caliper red paint that he's going to use on his calipers later.

Am i right?

Close but no cigar. I used auto paint in a spray can which I bought at Canadian Tire. It is for touch ups on your car but is in the large cans. It was on sale at $1.99 a can.

I actually masked and sprayed the caps as I did not want to see any brush marks. I have photos of how I did it if you are at all interested.

Having some problems uploading to my webspace. I will try and do it this weekend. Basically I took shots of the tools I used as well as before and after shots.

By the way, Quikmp5, I like the photo in your sig. Looks like you were having a hoot.

Still waiting for those pictures that you took...

Did you remove the center or painted it on the rims !?
Also, how did you remove the MAZDA's logo ?

Okay here are some pics of how I painted my rim caps. You have to take the wheels off the vehicle and simply push the caps out from the inside. As supplied by Mazda, the cap is one plastic pice and chromed then the background is painted some sort of silver.

These are the tools I used, masking tape, a sharp x-acto type knife and a tooth pick to burnish the edges. In the photo, the caps have had the M masked with the tape.

Here the caps have been sprayed with the paint. I used automotive paint which was on sale. I would guess any good quality paint would work.

Here are the finished caps with the tape removed. The first shot is with the flash and the second is without.

Here is a closeup of one of the caps.

I let them dry for a day before I put them back on. You don?t have to remove the wheels for this, simply snap them in place.
