anyone remove there mazda badge?

Hi guys i am considering getting a protege as my next car and was wondering if any one has removed the front grill badge, and was there holes left in the grill or is it stickered on.I ran a search on the badge and people only seem to remove the rear emblems. Any info on this would be appreciated thanks.

I took the front badge off of my P5 and it is held on by adhesive. It does, however, have 2 guide holes. After I paint the grill the emblem is going back on,(I may paint the emblem a diffrent color).
Hope this helped.

yeah that kinda helps thanks but would the guide holes be noticeable if you left the badge off?Im looking for the clean badgeless mystery look.

Its really not noticeable unless your right up to the car. I took mine off before, but you still have the grill molded to the shape of the emblem on. It doesnt look that clean. But maybe you'll like it.

Yeah - removing the front badge would look "dirty" - not clean .

The grille is molded to accept the badge, so all you'd succeed in doing is making it look like someone swiped yours.

Unless, of course, you do a mesh grill over the whole thing - then that might look decent.

Re: anyone remove there mazda badge?

I got a 2000 Protege DX and I removed it to get it painted. Is not a sticker, it has two safety locks in the back you gotta be careful when you remove it, then it has like a little black plate. (the one that makes the background look black) And yes if you take it off you'll end up with two wholes. (well... rectangles)]
