ARRG! speaker shopping is driving me nuts!!!

their are so many friggin speakers to choose from!!!! can't decide!!!! someone do it for me! what kinda speakers you people got in your rides? i will amp the speakers at a later time once i get money but for now i will use the CD deck (DEH - 6400) to power them

here are the ones that i looked at from www.onlinecarstereo.com

Alpine SPS-5729
Alpine SPS-1629S (Mounting depth?)

Clarion SRX5793
Clarion SRX1683 (Mounting depth?)

Kicker K57
Kicker K60 (Depth ok)

MB Quart DKD 157
MB Quart DKD 116 (Mounting BAD)

Polk Audio EX572a
Polk Audio EX602a (Depth ok)

PPI PPI-57.1
PPI PPI-65.1T (mounting not okay, ghetto rig?)

too many! AHHH! MBquart and the PPI speakers i would really like but they don't fit! grrr.. the ones that do fit are kinda cheap..

seems like you want drop-in spkrs or 6.5 coax's, so i'm gonna pick from your list and not make it harder for you by suggsting quality components at decent prices... lol j/k

f'real tho, from your list i'd suggest alpines or the mb quarts. i like their sound. what are your plans for your system? amped? subs? multi-media? that could help in your decision making as well, but mostly i'm just curious to see what toyz you are gonna install.

I have the MBQuart 157 and 116s in my car. They sound great. I am in the process of picking an amp for them right now. I'll probably get the rockford 200S (I think thats the name). I have never been happier with any speakers. Go with the MB Quarts!!

im going to have to agree with onehawaiian, he knows his car audio! and those speakers definately sound good

on a side note, im gonna have to recommend those kicker speakers too.... i listened to a pair this weekend and was blow away as to how sweet sounding they were..... and ive always kind of been an anti-kicker guy.

how deep are the 6.5" mb quarts? mazda told me that the rear doors have a 2" depth, but i know you can get a bit more in there since my fusion 6.5's are deeper than 2in., and mazda also told me my p5 had clear-coat (but i found out it's not the entire car! )

i think the door mounting depth could actually be metric, making it more flexible than the stated 2in.

I had no problems with mounting. They went right in.
