I wouldn't worry so much about overpowering if that is the case. You can always turn your amp down and your speakers will shine because they will play loud and more importantly distortion free. Let us know what you get (esp. if you get the CDTs). I wish some one here in Charleston had some so I could here them.

i like the cdt eurosports.
awesome components.
and way cheaper than focal utopias. but not less than $600.
cdt classics at the zeb are 6.5's, but i'm thinking they should fit ur ride. (not sure what u got tho) paint blemish don't matter since it'll be hidden anyways.
and t is right, the type-r's do about 40wrms, but peak is like 150 or something. feed ur comps lots of power and they should play nice and clean. 100x2 should be just fine.

Thanks for all the input, guys. I wasn't by a PC yesterday, so I wasn't on the board but I ordered the CDT Classics with the paint defects, apparently they are coming today.
I'm getting the amps over the weekend, so maybe I'll have an install day sometime next week or later (I have to buy a lot of speaker wire, as well as some new power wire, a distro block, get a board of MDF or something cut to mount the amps & crossovers on. tear out my whole interior practically, and get it all wired)
And at the same time, since I'd have the carpet out, I'd really like to get replacement carpet, but I don't think I want to spend another $130 right now.
I'll post pics when the speakers arrive
