ive noticed that my back doors have speaker grills, but no speakers (2002 sedan). does anyone have an explaination for this? has anyone tried to install speakers in their sedans back doors?

 

I had a 01' sedan before I purchased my Protege 5. I had my rockford mids custom mounted there. I believe they are made for 6.5's like the PR5 has in their doors. I got the speaker wires there through the hinges on the doors. They sounded nice there.

 

to answer your question, they use the same door panel in the sedal proteges and the P5 and thats why you have a grill there but no speaker.

 

thank you, that does make sense. i may mount some mb quarts there, but i dont want to cut or drill anything to get the wiring through, ill have to take a look at the setup tonight.

 

i have installed some 6.5 3ways back there in my 02 sedan i also removed mt 6x9's i did this to bring the soundstage up front it was a pain in the *** to get the wire to the back doors though. I dont have nay pics on the install of my speakers just a few pics of my subs on my WWW.

 

so in this case what wires do you run to the speakers? I have a pair of 5x7's i wanna get in there....you think this is doable?
