Bad sub??

I was looking on ebay for a sub and since my friend has a JBL GT in his car and it hits very good i want one too. I found one and it says that he doesnt think it works. The sub doesnt look like its blown because it has a picture and its all there. A sub is very simple and I dont see what else could be bad not making it work. Could it just be tha that guy set it up wrong? Didnt ground it good or something?

It could look perfect and the voice coil could be blown to bits. The guy could have distorted the crap out of it and melted the varnish on the voice coil.

I would look somewhere else, JBL GT's are pretty cheap brand new.

As a matter of fact, here's one for ya.
