Bazooka tube Help!!!
#2
crutchfield has them. they have 2 different models the EL and the RS. the EL is $299.99 and the RS is $399.99. you could also check ebay. thay might be alittle less then that for a new one. oh just in case you need the # for crutchfield it is 1-800-955-3000. and if you don't want to order one you should be able to find one at the local audio store.

i agree, i have never heard a decent sounding bazooka tube.
you can get 10" subs that are able to fit in a very small box and will not take much more room than the bazooka and it will sound better.

OK, i have to disagree with the talk about bazookas sounding bad. i had one installed in my old grand am (untill the bazooka got stollen) and had it hooked up to a full pass amplifier. it had very good full frequency fill in, and it would crank pretty loud. if i folded the seats down, and had the windows closed, i would have a head-ache from the sound within a few mintues. I would think a bazooka would complement your stock stereo quite nicely in a P5.

as with all audio gear, sound is subjective and most definetly in the ear of the beholder. My ear tells me, they are dry and lifeless.
But then again, if you get a headache from it, it can't sound all that good....

Sound...
Its all in the mix of components. Every Bazooka that I have heard that suxs its been powered by a 700 watt monster amplifier or by a Pyramid 3 watt amplifier. The rest sounded pretty good, remember most people that buy Bazookas, buy the 6" or the 8" for space reasons. The 10" should sound pretty good in our cars with a matching amplifier and a decent aftermarket radio. Remember that if it starts with crap you will end up with louder crap.
Now one cool thing I just saw from Bazooka that might interest you guys is a 10" set up that looks just like a NOs bottle!
Just my $.02

Bazookas and a Question...
bazookas are okay for the space saving and all. my cousin just bought an explorer and put the 10 in and it pumps! i didn't tell him that tho! but overall, if you wanna save space, that is one of the best ways and the amp comment is totally correct. feed it right and you'll be okay!
now my question: wil, how does that basslink sound? i am always looking at it, but end up saying "how can something so small be that good?" is the sound and thump worth it? i guess what i wanna know is, how does it stand next to a jl 10w3? the basslink makes sense with the built in amp and all, so i might buy it if it sounds good.

I have to agree with Gro. Bazookas are low end and there's a lot better out there for decent prices. I have an autotek amp hooked up to two kappa perfect 10's and they hit tight and hard. Unless you can get a really good price on the bazooka, I'd say find something else. Just my two cents.
