dude, that is bummer man. what did you use to paint them with, what primer, you have to use LIGHT i mean LIGHT coats. dont even cover it all the way just mist it. let dry very good, you cant have finger prints on it or the oill will make them peel and or if you use a cleaner.

let me know.

if you sand use a high paper, 800 or higher. sanding plastic is a bitch, leaves lines and swirls bad. might try a chemical dip. dont know man. sorry.

I know how it feels to lose nice headlight...
I replaced my drivers side of headlight. cost me 230 tax included.
but dealer asked me 255 withouth tax first time, but I told them my friend got it for 180 then they give me discounts on it.
try that first if that doesn't work out try car part.com or something like that. they have used headlight for proteges

It is seriously not that difficult to do. You guys are making too big a deal out of it. I did it to a Civic (don't start blasting) about 5 years ago, and it was very simple. Just need to be patient, clean the plastic well with Alcohol before primer, let the primer dry fully, and put a few coats of paint on it. I used a gunmetal metallic auto paint, and it worked great. I would do it to my P5, I planned on doing it this summer with the P5, once it warms up.

Good Luck.

actually on coated plastic, like the p5 lights, its better to primer in the colder temps than warm, the paint beads set up a bit before it hits the plastic and cures instantly so it wont bubble or run. if you do it when its warm you have to make sure the primer is a thicker primer and hope your a good painter. I am getting ready to paint my hood like the mp3 hood show car with the black center, and and im getting rid of the cheap vinyl and painting them on, also the inside is getting painted soon. Body kit will be in soon also. lots of work ahead, not to mention the turbo this summer. it will be fun. ill post pics and crap as i go. PEACE- and Double D your right, i told them its not hard, just need patients.
