can somebody identify this??

okay so this lil plug just suddenly showed up in my car LOL... i checked all electronics, sound system, lights etc and they all work no problems LOL...

i just found this today when i got into my car.. it was just behind the cup holders..

my initial guess is maybe its the controls for the Stacker.. which came stock with the car but i never use now.. since i got new HU... but does a stacker have so many wires??

also i thought it could be speaker cables... coz when they put my new head unit in they hooked up new connection.. but i doubt its this as i am sho i seen the old wiring harness thingy and it doesnlt look like this

car is 99 protege 1.6 thanx!

any help would be much appriciated thanks guy!

It kinda looks like the the wire harness for the HU. Maybe another pic in a different position would help.

i thought it was something to do with HU too...

i think its the wiring harness for stock HU... coz when the guys installed my new HU.. they made a new harness for it and said they willl leave old on in justincase i needed it... but i somehow doubt its that because i know what the speaker wires are and i dont see any of them goin into this harness...

my guess would be its the harness for stacker control... (i kinda remember it not been in the main HU harness on stock HU... will have to pull it out of the back of garage and find out tomorrow hehe

How many wires? What colors?

If it is 8 wires i would guess speakers. If it is 6 or 10 it is probably the head unit power/ground/lights/memory.

Look on the back of the stock head unit if available - could it plug in?

Lastly - everything works. Don't mess wit it!

from the colors of the wires i think its your power for the old oem h/u red=power yellow/orange= memory and lighting black=ground..etc... i too say if everything works just leave it if you ever sell the car then you could just plug the old h/u in

hehe yeh everything works fine... the sub is a ctually sounding better (i donno if that is coz i tunned the amp properly or the wire came up on the same day but anyway hehe)..

i am gonna go with the quote "if it aint broke dont try to fix it"... and let it go hehe

and when i go through my garage and find the freakin old head unit i can check it out...
