Again, sorry to hear of the ills, it can get very discouraging. It was not the issue of you making a poor choice, it was that someone fell through on quality control....
Yeah, it's more of a random thing... one amp or any other electronic item dying on you doesn't mean that brand sucks... (reminds me of the discussion of "sony sucks" that went on in another thread )

Try your best to get it replaced. When it comes to budget amps, I would still pick an US acoustic amp over a Pyle or Pyramid amp anyday!

US amps are supposed to be pretty good. if you get no where with them, start shopping how much are you looking to spend? i had an autotek that lasted 7 years of abuse. 2 years of competition. they are solid, and the price is great. sound domain has some good prices on the stealth series amps. but they are their high end units. i would recoment any of their series.
yeah... i just got an autotek street machine to power my new 500 watt DEi sub. haven't installed it yet. hopefully it's all good. i've read good things about autotek, of course i read good things about US ACOUSTICS too. we'll see what happens. if i have to get a new amp i'd like to stay under 300 bux but i'd be willing to spend a little more(don't want another crappy amp). thanks for all your help guys. i'll let you know how the warranty thing shakes out.

SX475: 75x4 at 4 ohm.
SX4160: 100x4 at 4 ohm.

Maybe you kinked the rca output from your deck's output when you put it into the dash. try switching your right with the left rca output to see if the problem still exists in that channel. or try to wiggle the rca while the hu is playing and listen for any noise. If that doesn't work then do the same thing switching rca's in your amp channels.
