anyone have any info/input on car computers? interested in installing one, just lookin for some suggestions from other mazda users

 

Theres a thread over at msprotege.com forums in the car electronics/audio secton that is about 4 pages long with comments on a guy who jus put one in his p5

 

I was just looking at some the other day from an article on slashdot.... can't remember the site though... I will think of it though...

im one of the guys that put in a carputer over the summer.. ..it's pretty bad ***. .. .if you guys got any questions feel free to ask

im running:

Biostar MVIG pro mobo
AMD duron 1.3
seagate barracudda 40 gig
corsair pc2700 256 ddr
wifi usb module

now im just waiting for money to get an obd-2 connector and the related software to set up a virtual dash on the screen. and also a gps reciever for those long trips

where do you get an obd adapter and how does everything hook up? cuz basically iwant to do that but just use my laptop
