CD palyer problems

I just bought a Protege 5 and am having problems with my CD player. It seems to skip on any little bump in the road. Is anyone else having this problem?

There have been some problems noted here.

Generally, recorded cd seem to be a problem to some of us. Have it checked out on your next trip to the dealer.

b.t.w. welcome to the board

By mini CDs you mean the 3" CDs? I thought you're not supposed to stick those in.

Aren't there several manufactuers for the Mazda HU? Maybe one is better than the other.

The dealer probably can give you a replacement or something, perhaps you just got one that wasn't quite up to spec or something.

Blondie, Welcome to our happy little corner of the net, and to our Club. There are TWO BIG fridge'S in the corner with anything you can think of in them...help yourself...of course only take what you can LEGALLY have.

make yourself at home on one of the big fluffy couches, kick your shoes off, put your feet up on one of the tables, yes we are allowed to do that, mom don't care....and take it easy.

oh...btw....every once in a while a food fight breaks out...so you may not want to wear nice clothes here.

Welcome!!

I have had NO problems with my stock head unit at all....it plays all the CD's I put in (all of which are home burnt) and I even hit a few decent bumps in the road coming to work and around town...and NO skipping as of yet...

go to your dealer....they should swap you out a new unit.
