is it bose or not? Usually your trip computer will not probably not work. You will have to a) find a dash kit which will support it, or b) find an aftermarket head unit which has a trip computer in it.

Well a stereo swap will probably be less complicated without the bose, however, you will still need one of the two thing listed above or your trip computer will not work

Yep, did it on my Speed 3. You have to buy a steering wheel control kit, that lets you program the steering wheel controls to the new stereo. The controls will feel sluggish compared to how they work with the factory stereo, but they'll work.

No,as I know we don't need to buy an external steering wheel controls to the new stereo...I found a dvd player that has the steering wheel control for it,you can learn it here http://www.sundaybuy.com/doce/prod_show.aspx?pid=15
it seems that it is easy to change the factory stereo without cuting power cables or others, great unit.
