On the serious side, I don't know of any manufacturers that make Altezza/Clear tail lights for the P5...especially North American companies, since the current Protege platform will be replaced by the "3" platform when it's out.

Besides, the stock Protege 5 tail lights already look awesome! I wouldn't even think about changing them.

Got this from Smoothy. APC makes some clear tails for the P5. Seen here on his P5 after an ice storm, hence the distortion. He got them from a dealer in QC I think. PM me if you'd like the phone number. I'm looking at getting a set of these for my P5. Sure, the Altezzas are overused, but you rarely see a P5 with them.

Actually those are the Altezzas on the REGULAR Sedan Protege, not the P5.

Nope! Look closely at my link. Notice the reflector on the side extends much farther down, and the one in my link follows the contours of the P5 light. Ask Smoothy here. That's his P5 with the lights!

It looks like the sedan tails to me also. Need a better pic but I would say sedan.

Unhappy

As much as I would like some carbon fiber tail lamps, those belong to a sedan. The trunk lid is too angled, the P5 hatch line is more vertical.

Talked face to face with APC Sunday & they dont have anything yet. They said Mazda is really getting on them about making parts so its being done & they hope to have them soon. Now, they do have a replacement rear wing. I saw it in person there (never noticed it before in the pics of the Puzzle protege5) and it really looks good. Its longer & slightly different design. Weird how such a small thing makes a big difference on the look. Gotta get the film developed to get the pic of it.

Those are definately the sedan lights. The P5 tail lights are longer, have a bulge/crease contour in the middle and also are narrower when viewed from the back.
Exactly, the P5 have the bulge/crease in the middle. You said it..
