Competion Hints
*Resonant Frequency: 45Hz without cover, 46Hz with cover
-Remove all Head rest in car
-Lie Passenger seat as far back as possible
-Most Protege 5's with rear facing sub enclosure and ported, SPL is loudest with box against back seats
-Make sure battery is reading well above 12volts - and 13.8 if car is running.. To charge battery after a drain REV to 3000RPM's after competition testing let run at 2500 to 3000RPM's for at least 3 minutes and let run at this level before competition.. don't be showing your beats off between testing..
-POWER (battery & alternator is crucial)
*ONLY burp your frequency (don't do sine sweeps, or waves) get a track that will play 45Hz, pause deck and adjust all levels to testing level
*Unpause, let is play, don't play any longer.. Not only makes you look like a bad *** to all the other fools who are at the competition, but saves your juice for the next run.. It's not going to get LOUDER over time, it will get quieter
*Don't allow other passengers in car while testing this affects the sound wave to the microphone
*WEAR EAR PLUGS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Buy a new alternator from Ohio Generator
Use Caps, did you HEAR me? USE CAPS!!!!
*Adjusting Gain to match deck output power is CRUCIAL!!!
*Only run amps that are powering subwoofers!!!
*Use a 24db slope in the Protege 5 and 12db slope in protege (sub-level)
*Use Infrasonic filters on ported enclosures (stop blowing your damn subs) Your making products more expensive..
* denotes IMPORTANT
