whoops..before somebody wastes their time telling me how to "bridge".. i looked at the online manual for the 440.4.. seems simple. I just do the front speakers normal, then for the sub use the rear channels use L+ and R- on opposite sides.. easy enough.

Again, thanks for all the help. If somebody sees that I'm doing something stupid, please try to respond asap so I don't order the wrong stuff tomorrow hehe.

Ok wait, some wiring has changed now..

I was going to do 1/0 wire to the distribution block, which splits it into the 2 4gauge wires. Without the block, do I need the 4 gauge? Will the amp let me run 1/0 all the way into it? Or do I still need to convert the 1/0 into 4 gauge some how. Or am I completely stupid and I'm missing something...

bah! I thought I was done bugging you guys with questions.. maybe I'm done now..I hope..

sorry kyle, I thought someone had an idea of wiring the speakers and the sub to the tsunami, I just said that it is powerfull enough to handle them, I wasn't thinking that it's a mono amp... sorry again.

if you have only one amp, you don't need the distribution block nor the 1/0 gauge wire. do like I did - buy about 18 feet of 4 gauge wire and run it from the battery to the amp (through a fuse). 4 gauge should be enough for this amp...

I hope this helps.

Bingo! Why use 1 gauge wire and a distribution block on one amp? It is pricey and unnecessary. Some do use 1 gauge, but they have a lot of power being drawn from the battery, but in your case, save some money and go with a 4 gauge wire kit. I have a distribution block, but also am using a stiffening cap along with two amplifiers (class A might I add, because they draw lots of current).

And now the dreaded waiting game of getting the merchandise in. If any grief, read poor Intruders crap that he went through What kind of head unit did you order? I don't remember which one you were looking at.

Alpine 9807. I've got 3 day shipping on the sub and amp.. the HU and front speakers I ordered several days ago.. the HU should be here tuesday, and the spkrs by thursday. Yea, the wait blows.. but it'll be worth it. I'm just hoping that edesign gets my order out before the close for their move (the site says they'll be completely closed the 28th-30th)..that'd suck to wait longer.

I'm gonna go buy the wood and stuff for my box tomorrow.. maybe even get part of it done. This sub according to edesign uses a sealed box, so it's not exactly complicated.

Ok, I was about to start ordering wiring.. but then I saw this..

4 gauge 4-channel amp kit

Would that work for me? Is there anything it is leaving out.. it doesn't seem like it. I think I would rather use the 12awg bi-wire speaker wire instead of that stuff..but even with that ordered on top of it it's still cheaper than ordering everything seperate, and they don't even list remote turn on wire on the knukonceptz website by itself.

It's like $30 cheaper to order the kit and the other speaker wire than to order everything alone.. that's why it really caught my attention.

That kit should do it. The only thing you need to check is the size fuse the amp is so that it can be equivilant to the inline fuse. The 9807 is a nice looking deck. I think Crutchfield has it for $270. I would like to replace my entire system since I have had it for so long (except for the subs of course) and get Tsunami, Avionixx, and Focal 5 1/4 separates and perhaps another Alpine HU or some thing with graphics as well as high volt RCA outputs.

I have the 9807, but I am going to sell it because I never liked the silver color. When I was buying it, it was the only one that played mp3s (I thought so). For about $70 more, I could buy the 9813, but now I'm wondering if I should go for the 9815. So, when I'm done with this amplifier/subwoofer **** this will be my next big purchase. I will basically trade in mine for the 9813 or 9815
