Hello all,

I was curious if there are any custom in dash screens out there for a 2000 Mazda Protege? My brother has a WRX and he found one for his car. It looks sweet. Just curious if anyone knew about it. His sits right underneath his cd deck in the dash. It doesnt fold/slide out, its just mounted smoothly there. Any help would be great. Thanks!

previously a company named ProtegeGarage.com made custom molded in dash monitors. They were approximatley $450. If you're interested in having one made I'm friends with the former owner and may be able to get one for you.

 

With the cost of screens today $450 would be a bit much, I was looking for the $200 range. Thanks for the fast reply though!!

 

oh no can do. they use quality screens and it's a 7" monitor. I believe he told me the monitor itself cost him $250-ish. Good luck though.

 

Just order a cheap screen and bondo it in yourself.
The worst ones cost $150.

 

they sold touchscreens im pretty sure ... so thats why its a bit more than you expected.

 

Yeah.. Im not looking for anything super special like touchscreen or GPS... Just a simple screen that lays in the dash. I have the space for a double din because of the cd player and then the storage underneath it. Guess its just not out there.. Thanks

 

measure the hole, and order the screen on ebay ...you can get one for around 100 bucks i bet ...
