custom vinyl sticker, better price?

I just recieved an email from edecals.com for this sticker that I wanted made.

They say the sticker will be 3.4" x 1.5" and would cost $5 bucks apiece plus $5 bucks s/h.

This seems pretty high for a sticker this small in size. Anyone have any comments or know a place I could get it done for a better price? Thanks

BTW, the black area of this sticker will the be the actual sticker, the white will not be part of the sticker.

The expensive part there seems to be the shipping. Try looking for a local decal shop. There has to be one somewhere to do graphics for local businesses. The sticker that size should only be a couple bucks.

why would they charge 5 bucks for something that would fit in a small envelope with a stamp on it?

Looks like a 3, a 1 and a 1 to me...

Anyway, 5 bucks isn't a horrible price, but I agree the shipping is not good. They likely have set shipping rates for anything they send out up to an 'oversized package', and likely don't allow for regular mail. It's easier to just set a flat rate, and make an extra bit of cash on things that don't actually cost that much to ship.

I agree with the other suggestions here, look in your yellow pages for a local place. Just look under 'signs', and find a place that does vinyl lettering.

I checked (3) places in my area, including Kinkos, which is a national chain. Kinkos wants a $25-$45 dollar setup fee, then $4 dollars for each sticker. The other places are locally owned shops, and they told me that they dont normally do a couple of stickers at one time (i would have to order in bulk).

Anyone else have any other suggestions, particular online shops? Doing this online is alot easier then calling/riding around to different places since I could just email the pic and they could give me an estimate.

Thanks

Just go to CD exchange or Karma or whatever you have in the area. They are 3 bucks. Same 311 design. Usually in red white or black.

Well, we dont have a CD Exchange or Karma (what is that anyway?) in my area. Ive seen these stickers for sale in someplaces, but they are to big. I want a smaller version, also in orange .

ok, i got a good solution for you... go to best buy and purchase a package of PRINTABLE window clings... you can make your own designes, and use your printer to print them.. youget like 10 sheets for like 10 bucks or somehting cheap... i suggest that so you can mkae more than 1
You ever use the window clings? If i make that logo on it, then the rest of the area would be clear, correct? Than I would have to worry about bubbles.

How do you get a thick coat of ink on the window cling? Ive tried the do-it-yourself shirts with my printer, and there isnt enough ink that gets on the sheet to make the shirt look decent. Is it the same way with the window clings?

Here's the best solution of all....

send me the $5 for the decal and i will put my own stamp on it (i don't think $.34 isn't gonna break me )

what color? How many?

Did you ask me about this before? i seem to remember it, but don't recal how or why it never went any further. If it was due to me, i appologize man.

why don't you order them in bulk , so that when you pay 5 bucks for shipping you will be getting like 10 stickers instead of one,. Trust , me I dealt with them in the past and they are cool , you call them and speak to them on a personal level , they will work with you ,...
what is this 311 sticker about anyhow ,,
sorry I don't know
