dash removal

ok i don't mean the whole dash, just the part in the center with the controls and radio, can't think of the name for it right now, anyway i can pull it away so it unclips but the bottom seems to be attached by something else, i remember someone once mentioning about cables that at are connecting it, cables that run the fan and the heat control, so i'm wondering if those are what is holding it on and how can i take it off?

I already remove this part to paint it. It will be easier for me to explain it to you in French, I just hope you'll understand !

Si tu as d'autres questions, n'hésite pas.

This topic has been beaten to death (mostly in English, however ). A search will turn up plenty of useful information.

And don't go with Blue LEDs advice - pulling is bad. I'm sure he was just being a wiseass though. Damn military boys.....lol .

Look under the dash just to the left and right of the console. The cables that are attached to the climate control connect to a mechanism on each side of the console. If you get down in the floorboard and look toward the firewall right behind the cigarette lighter on the right side and right beside the gas pedal on the left, you'll see what you need to disconnect. Hope this helps.
