Do Altezzas lights melt easily? Need advice from owners.

Hey no prob MPChi.
Those cheap carbon fiber's got like that after 2 days. It was really humid out but it shouldn't matter because they're inside right now in the air conditioning and it's still on there ...looks like fiberglass now ..with strands of fiber running through it.
As far as it worsening it appears that it was in fact slowly worsening and the other light was developing the disease. I am sending them back to the place where I got them for a refund. I spoke with APC they said if it's after 3 months you have to send them back to them. I would give them a call and tell them that you among other people are having problems with them and that you want a new set.
Have you heard of the exact same problems with the chrome lights? I have only heard that they get moisture that eventually disappears.
I just got a set of the chrome ones without the red strip on the side, imo they look really nice especially up close ...I think I might even like them better than the carbon fiber's.
I sealed the new lights with a plasticine like caulking (you don't need a gun for it) ..it comes in a small flat cardboard container about 6" long and is in really thin strips (grey in colour). You just push it into the crack and it seals right down to the factory seal. If water ever got through that I would send it to a lab to get it inspected. Now if the plastic does the same thing as the carbon fiber's I'll be really pissed. I don't know if the plastic stress marks are a result of over tightening or under tightening ..or maybe neither.
Hope this helps,
Jonny

hey fellas,
It's not a canadian thing but also here in the states the taillights fog. I had the APC chrome, carbon-fiber, and Toucan gunmetal. They all fogged. The worst were the TYC gunmetal. Fogged up beyond belief. If any of you are selling the carbon fiber tails, I would be interested. I learned to live with the fog months ago. Even with the slight fog they look better than the factory tails.
