Thumbs up Finally put my alarm in my P5.

I have had my P5 for about a week now and finally found the time to put my alarm in. I installed my DEI Viper800esp. So far I have added the DEI 508D Proximity Sensor, The DEI 795T Digital Pager System, and a Piezo Siren. I also installed a latching realy for my radio. Basically the latching relay acts like a starter kill for my radio. I hold down on channel 3 for 1.5 secs. and it opens the ignition wire on my radio so it will not turn on even when the key is on. It will stay open until I hold down channel 3 again for 1.5 secs. and then the relay will close and the ignition wire is complete again. I did this because I have a Kenwood KVT910DVD in dash monitor/ dvd player that does not have a detachable face and I don't want service techs playing with my stuff when my car is in their bay. In the future I may add a remote start to it, but I'm not sure yet. I love the amount of room under the dash of my car, it made the install really easy. Next chance I get I will be installing the rest of my audio system. This is what it will consist of:

Kenwood KVT910DVD in dash monitor/dvd player/tv tuner
2 Audiovox LCM4000 4 inch Headrest monitors
Audiovox AVP7180 VCP
Kenwood KDV-C810 10 Disc DVD Changer
Pioneer GEXFM903XM RF modualted XM
JBL P80.4 4 channel amp
JBL BP600.1 Monoblock sub amp
Polk MM6 Momo 6.5 Components (fronts)
Polk EX365 6.5 Coaxials (rears)
2 Bazooka RX-T2 Triangle Subs

Sorry for the long post,
Jason (Jellybean)

Excellent choice

but you didn't need to add the latching relay, channels 3 thru 7 can be programmed for a latched output, unless thats what you meant...

Well I already had the latching relay laying around from a previous alarm install and decided not to waste it. I also have a backup battery to put on a well.
