Gauge Cluster Light Bulbs
#17
HMMMM..
guess i'm gonna have to pull mine apart and see!!
Do you think that with just blue film and condomless bulbs we'd get a nice blue effect?
99proES - there must have also been a film to scrape? Or are your gauges molded green? THAT would suck.
My fiances car (my old car before my P5 ) has a couple burnt out bulbs in the dash. Maybe I'll guinea pig her dash before I mess around in mine. heh heh heh...
It's an Escort, but hey, it's 99% mazda...

i think its a film that you can scrape cuz they are white on the side you see and they are little green on the other side. However i don't think you will be able to find a blue light that small. if you do let me know please.
I went to radion shack and they said they don't carry the "condoms".
Where can i get them. Anyone know? I do need the condoms cause i wanna change the color.
Also one more question about lighting...what is the size or part number for our dome light (3rd gen)

Just changing the condoms won't change your color. You'll still have the orange film to deal with as well.
You'd be better off pulling the condoms off and just going with the white bulbs and changing the film to whatever color you want to use.
Wouldn't the dome light part # be in the manual?
