Good Idea?
My friend has a new Alpine MRD-M300 he wants to ge rid of that was never even out of the box. He wants $200 which isn't much of a deal, but it's a nice amp. I plan on wiring it to my 15" solobaric (not square) that I've never used. It's "used", but I've never had an amp for it.
Amp:

I'd need to run 4gauge wire, right? I have 8 now, so I'd probably need to get rid of that. What do you guys think? I know it's going to pound the hell out of my hatch, but that's what it's for, hehehe....

The Alpine M300 only needs 8 guage but I would run the 4 for when you upgrade the amp or add another for the door speakers.
Take it easy on the gain with that amp. Its a little under powered for the Solo, nothing major though, but you may start clipping the amps signal and not know it. Tune the amp with your head by the sub so you can aviod any distortion.
Both are great products, you should be very happy with it.
