oops....if my car was here I'd pull the cluster for you and we'd match them up.

I believe it's still the same color wire on your cluster(purple,white)...when you get a chance pull it and tell me which harness(right left or middle) and which pin on the harness....thanks!!!

If this works macdaddy, you will have to give me all the info on this. I would love to have a cluster with a tach.

Success !!!!!!!!!!! A member on another forum gave me a schematic for the cluster harnesses...it's the top left pin on the middle harness(if you look at it while plugged in)....I'll write up a better how to later, but here is what you do...first buy a cluster w/tach (duh)...then take out your old cluster and plug in the new one....then tap into the purple/white wire on the OBD2 port(little box by the firewall driver side) and run the wire to the slot mentioned above. Youll need to get one of the female pin connectorsto slide into the plug to make the connection,, and woila ! factory tach!!!

F'n sweet!!! Now to just find a factory cluster w/tach. If I have a 1999 DX, does that mean I have to try and find and use a 1999 LX or ES cluster, or will other years work as well?
